The Biotona Matcha travel kit contains a bamboo whisk and a bamboo scoop. Two indispensable accessories for the preparation of the perfect Matcha. Thanks to the handy storage cover, you can take your whisk and scoop with you and perform the famous matcha tea ritual anywhere! The original Bamboo Whisk is used to prepare matcha ceremonially. With its 100 fine brush hairs, carefully curled at the ends, you can beat your tea until it is pleasantly light and frothy. The making of these bamboo whisks is a traditional Japanese craft skill. The harvesting, drying and cutting of the bamboo stems requires great care and precision, learnt over many years. The Bamboo Scoop is used during the traditional tea ceremony to accurately measure the right amount of the costly matcha powder.

Add 1 to 2 g of tea powder (2 bamboo spoons or ½ a teaspoon, depending on your preference) to a bowl or cup and pour in the water (70-100 ml). Beat the tea for about 15 seconds with a bamboo whisk, until the fluid has a nice foamy top. Rinse the whisk and let it dry on the green whisk holder. |
