Low-carb smoothie with hemp proteins and raw cacao

This delicious 'low-sugar' smoothie based on almond milk contains cauliflower instead of the more frequently used banana. To provide a good shot of vegetable protein, Biotona Hemp Protein Raw Powder and shelled hemp seeds are added to the recipe. The hemp protein powder contains all the essential amino acids that are necessary for the building of proteins, which in turn are necessary for (amongst other things) the renewal of cells and the development and recovery of muscles. Hemp seed is another rich source of proteins and is packed with ultra-healthy polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6, in the ideal 1:3 ratio. Last but not least, raw cacao adds a scrumptious flavour and also improves your mood. What more could you want?!

Ingredients (1)
Dates, deseeded 2
Cauliflower rice, frozen ½ cup
Biotona Hemp Protein Powder 1 to 2 tablespoons
Biotona Hemp Seed 1 tablespoon
Biotona Cacao Powder 1 tablespoon
Almond butter 1 tablespoon
Almond milk, unsweetened 1 cup
As toppings (optional)
Biotona Hemp Seed ½ teaspoon
Biotona Cacao Powder ½ teaspoon
Necessities
Blender
  • Put all the ingredients in the blender and mix at high speed until you have a smooth and creamy drink.
  • Pour into a glass, top with hemp seed and cacao powder (if desired) – and enjoy!
