Mixed berry chia jam with elderberry
Traditional jam is packed with sugar. This variant replaces the sugar with Biotona Maple syrup, an unrefined, organic and natural sweetener that is rich in anti-oxidants (polyphenols). The further addition of Biotona Chia Seed helps to keep your blood sugar level stable and gives you a ‘full’ feeling that lasts for hours. Is this going to be your new favourite?

Mixed frozen raspberries and blueberries | 250 g |
Maple syrup | 3 tablespoons (or more to taste) |
Biotona Elderberry juice concentrate | 4 tablespoons |
Biotona Chia Seed | 2 tablespoons |

Saucepan |
- Add frozen berries and Biotona Maple syrup to a saucepan, start heating over medium heat until berries are soft and release their juices.
- Mash berries with a fork and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, add Biotona Elderberry juice and Biotona Chia Seed and mix well. Leave in the saucepan to thicken for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge. Use it as topping on oatmeal, puddings, smoothie bowls or toasts.
