Claudia Van Avermaet has made for us a delicious smoothie, in which each ingredient has a magical effect on your body and health. Ideal for whenever your body can use an extra boost, but also great either before or after your regular work-out!
Acerola is highly valued for its high dosages of vitamin C and other phytonutrients, up to 60 times more than in an orange!
Camu camu is a yellow to purple-red fruit that grows on 5-meter high shrub-like trees on the marshy banks of the Amazon River in South America. Research has shown that camu camu can quite easily contain up to 2% vitamin C, depending on the fruit’s level of ripeness. It is also great as a remedy for the herpes virus (cold sores). The powder is a powerful viral inhibitor, but also helps to relieve stress, painful joints and blocked airways. This smoothie is a perfect supplement to your daily intake of vitamin C, either before or after exercise or after a hard day’s work.

- Finish by adding a few mint leaves and fresh blueberries.
