Chlorella & Spirulina Energy Bars
Suffering from the effects of an energy dip? These energy bars will have you feeling full of beans again in no time! Biotona Chlorella + Spirulina is enormously rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. In addition, these micro-algae are well-known for their contribution to both weight control and vitality!

Cashews, raw | ½ cup (80 g) |
Shredded coconut, unsweetened | ½ cup (35 g) |
Dates, pitted | ½ cup (80 g) |
Biotona Hemp seed | 2 tablespoons (25 g) |
Biotona Chlorella + Spirulina powder | 1 to 2 teaspoons |
Lemon juice | 2 tablespoons |

- Add cashews, shredded coconut and pitted dates to a food processor. Blitz until you have the consistency of wet sand.
- Add Biotona Hemp seed, Biotona Chlorella + Spirulina powder and lemon juice and blend again, until well combined. The consistency should be crumbly but moist and should stick together when pressed between fingers. If too dry and not sticky enough, feel free to add a tablespoon of water.
- Line a small square or rectangular container. Transfer the crumbly mixture to the container and firmly press it into the bottom, trying to make the surface as even as possible.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or place in the freezer for 30 minutes). After that time cut into bar shapes and enjoy! Store leftover bars in the fridge for up to 5 days.
