Sangria with matcha! Cheers!

You can do so much more with matcha than just make tea! What about an original, refreshing and healthy aperitif for a warm summer’s day? You’ve just got to try our sangria with matcha! Choose between an alcohol-free version or a sangria with white wine. It looks good, tastes good and by golly it does you good! Surprisingly delicious!

Ingredients (6)
Biotona bio Premium Matcha 2-3 theelepels
Warm water 60 ml
Green apple, cut into blocks 1
Kiwi, peeled and cut into blocks 2
Green grapes 2 handfuls
Lime (1 for pressing and 1 for cutting into slices) 2
Mint, fresh A bundle
Apple juice 250 ml
Lightly sparkling water, chilled 750 ml
Option with alcohol
Semi-dry biological white wine 500 ml
Option alcohol-free
Grape juice 500 ml
Necessities
Large jug, long spoon, small bowl + whisk
  • Cut the green apple and the kiwis into blocks and one of the limes into slices. Press the juice out of the other lime and keep it to one side. Beat the matcha powder in some warm water in the small bowl, until it dissolves. Keep it to one side. Place the blocks of apple and kiwi, the slices of lime, the grapes and the fresh mint into the large jug. Pour the matcha mix over the fruit. Then do the same with the freshly-pressed lime juice, the apple juice and the wine or grape juice. Stir thoroughly with the long spoon and place the jug in the fridge (for at least 30 minutes) until it is nicely cooled. When you are ready to serve your aperitif, remove the jug from the fridge and add the lightly sparkling water. Stir briefly with the long spoon and pour into glasses.
