Low-calorie Veggie protein smoothie with matcha
Did you know that you can not only drink matcha as a warm or ice-cold tea? It is also ideal in a health-boosting smoothie. What’s more, it is super-low-calorie. If you like the sound of that, you will no doubt also be interested to hear that the components in matcha support the body’s fat combustion and help you to keep your weight under control. These components prevent the production of new fat cells and reduce the absorption of fats. Which substances are we talking about? Primarily polyphenols, including catechins like EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), which are typically present in the leaves of green tea but are contained in extra-high quantities in premium matcha.
