Did you know that Biotona has a clean label? Sounds good! But what exactly does it mean?

Not an official quality label

A clean label is not an official quality label issued by a regulatory authority after an inspection process. It is really a new way for food manufacturers to show their desire to respond to the present demands and levels of awareness in society relating to food quality matters. Consumers are becoming more critical and want greater clarity about the food they buy. Clean label products guarantee them transparent information on the product packaging. This includes the mentioning of all ingredients, additives and the methods of production.

Guidelines

Biotona prides itself on the importance we attach to the natural and organic origin of all the components used in the development of all our juices and powders. In addition, we have also defined a series of guidelines, based on the clean label, for the characteristics and quality demands with which our products need to comply.

Biotona clean label means that:

  • The products are minimally processed.
  • The products are provided with a clear list of ingredients in which EVERY ingredient is listed in a complete and unambiguous manner.
  • The products are completely free of all chemical/artificial and/or other dubious additives.

 

Quality and clarity

Biotona’s clean label guarantees that our powders and juices, thanks to their minimal processing, are of the very highest quality and contain high concentrations of health-giving phytonutrients. All the ingredients are clearly mentioned on the packaging, so you know exactly what components each products contains. In addition, all our products are free from artificial colorants, preservatives, flavourings, sweeteners, lactose, added sugars, salt, yeast and gluten.
