Coconut chia pudding
Chia is derived from the word chian, which means 'oily'. Chia seed naturally contains up to 25% of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an essential omega-3 fatty acid that contributes to the maintenance of a normal level of cholesterol in the blood.
The presence of soluble fibres in the seeds makes it possible for them to absorb up to seven times their own weight in water. When the seeds are soaked, they form a gelatinous substance, which is ideal for binding other fluids. As a result, you can easily make a delicious chia pudding without the need for any heating. This classic chia pudding recipe will be ready in the twinkling of an eye!
